After a fun day yesterday touring the vineyards of Mendoza, I'm leaving in a couple of hours for Salta. We hired bikes and cycled to three wineries where we got a quick tour and could try some wine. It wasn't quite as picturesque as Bordeaux (cycling along a moderately busy road, avoiding numerous potholes on dodgy bikes), but we had a good day.
Another 17 hour bus journey is lined up today, and I'm pretty pleased that this one is without food, so I can take my own gourmet sandwiches with me! Next stop is Salta in the north, hopefully another good place for some hiking and biking.
